This keepsake box is made from Pembrokeshire oak, with tulipwood banding. This simple combination is a very popular and pleasing item. It is unadorned, allowing the beauty of the grain patterns to show. The lid lifts off, located on the box with an inner liner. The example here was made to commission from a particularly worm-eaten piece of timber - alas all used now; boxes in this series will be plain, uneaten wood! The box is waxed; scented wax used internally, the base lined in black cotton velvet. Limited to an exclusive range of 100, signed and numbered. Size: 5" by 3½" by 2¾" high, nominal. Weight: 300 grams approx.
